Carol Fay Stein
Emotions, intellect, and senses all mix with the natural world and continually dictate my themes. Psychologically my pieces are born from the people who enter, stay, and exit. My professional work as a psychotherapist and my art intertwine. My life as a woman, daughter and mother inform my ideas. They sometimes come wrenching out and at other times arrive like a slow welcome wave.

Faces, nails, birds, linen, twine, branches, metal found on the street, beads rolling in and color build metaphors, baskets and send messages.
